Do you sometimes need feedback but don’t have an instructor near you? Do you have a tricky horse training situation and don’t know what you are missing? With Video Coaching, you can film yourself and receive feedback– either via e-mail or a telephone call — that will give you strategies and suggestions to help you progress.
Many students find that regular video coaching sessions helps them stay on track and focused. It gives them a study plan and regular feedback to keep them motivated.
Video Coaching is $1 per minute of video sent via CD, DVD or YouTube. Call or email me to find out more.
If you are thinking of buying a horse and want someone to assist you I can help, either in person or via video. There are many things to consider when you purchase an equine partner….everything from feet to horsenality to whether the horse will work well for the type of riding you do.
Since most people only buy a few horses in their lives, it makes sense to consult with someone who has had experience with thousands of horses, who can help you find the perfect horse for you.
Workshops and Lessons
Workshops are subject specific and are perfect for the students who can only commit to 1/2 or 1 day. They can be with a horse or without. Class sizes are still small enough to get lots of one-on-one help. Two workshops can be combined for a full day of instruction as well. Time Frame: 1/2 day (3 hours) for 4-10 students.
Here are a few examples of Workshop topics. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, contact me.
Not everyone learns best in a group environment, and for many private lessons are a great opportunity. You will get one-on-one assistance that can fast track your progress. Private lessons are a great way to get your specific questions answered and walk away with a wealth of new skills to improve upon. Students of any level are welcome to participate in private lessons. Two hour minimum.
Share the cost of coaching time with a friend. Learn from each other, have time to process information and formulate questions. Semi-private lessons are focused on the Savvy, purpose, subject or level that the students choose. Time Frame: 2-3 hours for 2 students.
For those students who would rather learn in a smaller group environment and prefer assistance with a particular area, a group lesson may be the best option. This is great for families, friends or playgroups to learn from each other. You will have time to practice, formulate questions, observe other Horsenalities and leadership strategies. Group lessons will be designed to meet the needs of your group Time Frame: 3 hours for 3-4 students.
Horse Starting and Training
Each year I accept a limited number of horses in for training. I can put a solid foundation on your young horse, or retrain an older horse that never got a good foundation.

Difficult Horse Problems
There are a couple of reasons horses become difficult. Sometimes the horse doesn’t have a good foundation and simply doesn’t know what to do.
Other horses have been inadvertently taught bad things by humans or acquired bad habits trying to protect themselves from human abuse.
I can help you help your horse overcome these difficulties and become the partner you dream of.
